The
spinning wheel
in the logo is the Gandhian
symbol self reliance. As Gandhiji himself put it, "The
spinning wheel and the spinning wheel alone will
solve, if anything will solve, the problem of the
deepening poverty of India".
The
bag of wealth
stands for the struggle for
the economic empowerment of women and other
marginalised sections of society.
The
pen nib
symbolises the the need for
educating women in order enable them to reach the
highest levels of self actualisation.
The
scales
signify gender gender equality and
justice which is one of the primary objectives of
TDMS.
The
face symbolises the most important
stakeholder of TDMS, the very reason for our
existence - the basic objective of women's empowerment
and gender mainstreaming cuts across all our
activities.
