SHISHU BHARATI PRIMARY SCHOOL

The Shishu Bharati School was established in 1954, a time when there was no pre-school education available in Tezpur. Gandhiji's pre-basic education was the guiding force behind the establishment of the school and the first teachers were trained at Kasturba Sewashram, Guwahati.

The school has not looked back since and now holds a respectable position with some 500 students from low income families on its rolls. The school has classes from Nursery to Class IV. The medium of instruction is Assamese and with its dedicated staff of 12 members and a strong infrastructure, it is a self sustaining unit of TDMS.
