TAILORING
& EMBROIDERY CENTRE
The
Tailoring & Embroidery Unit is
functioning since the fifties. It has been imparting
training to women
in tailoring and embroidery for several years now. The
unit has the accreditation to conduct examinations on
tailoring and embroidery and issues certificates to
successful candidates. A percentage of this income goes to
the general fund of the organisation.
The
trainer's remuneration comes from the fee taken
from the trainees. The Army Wives Welfare
Association regularly requests this unit to
conduct examinations for their trainees and issue
certificates to successful candidates. It is a
self sustaining unit and has scope for future
expansion. The
centre contributed Rs. 15,000/- to the general
fund in 2003-04.
